Alejandro Escovedo's "Real Animal"

I got to see Alejandro perform at World Cafe Live in Philly here on Wednesday. It was the best concert I have seen in a long time, maybe the best ever. It was that great. Here are two of the best songs from his excellent new album, "Real Animal."

The Drive-By Truckers - Austin, TX - 11/13/04

I saw the Drive-By Truckers follow The Hold Steady at the Electric Factory in Philly on Saturday. They put on an excellent show where everyone was at the top of their game. It was good to see that they have fully moved on from the loss of Jason Isbell, who looks to have transitioned well to a pretty promising solo career.

I like to watch this video and look back on when they played together. This was shot as part of the "Texas Bootleg" series and it is about an hour long set from Austin on November 13, 2004.
